Music

Music is a central part of our worship experience at Crossroads and we have been blessed with exceptionally talented musicians.  Come join us in worship and celebrate in God’s gift of music, or come join one of our music groups and share your God-given talents with us.

Adult Choir

Our large adult choir, is compromised of all ages, from High School students through our beloved “Senior Citizens” and is blessed to be under the direction of exceptionally talented director, Bill Hofeldt.  The choir meets every Wednesday at 7pm during the school year, and performs all but one Sunday a month.  Childcare is provided during choir practice if arranged in advance through our church office.  The choir sings a variety of Christian music including traditional hymns, spirituals, classical pieces, gospel, and even recently included arrangements from Broadway Hit “Jesus Christ Superstar” and our very own director.  There isn’t anything this group can’t do, or won’t try, and boy is it a blessing to hear their beautiful harmonies on Sunday.

Praise Band

Love contemporary praise music?  Well, you’ll love our praise band!  Accompanied by piano, drums, guitar and bass, our group of soulful singers provides the music for our worship the fourth Sunday of every month during the school year.  Praise Band rehearses the Thursday before the fourth Sunday at 7pm.  If you’re an instrumentalist or singer, or just have some special requests for the group, come meet the group on a Praise Practice night.  Otherwise join us for some upbeat worship music the fourth Sunday of the month.

We’re blessed to also have a four-part men’s “gospel” quartet in our congregation, who not only provide us with music on special Sunday’s but also travel and provide concerts at other churches and venues.  You won’t want to miss their next concert.  Watch the calendar for their next upcoming performance.

Christmas Musical

A description of music at Crossroads wouldn’t be complete without mentioning our annual Christmas program.  Typically done in the middle of December, our Christmas musical is performed by children and adults alike.   Costumes, props, acting, and of course toe-tapping, hand-clapping music and fun.  Our 2008 program was “Christmas on Gloria Street”, and for 2009 we performed “Bethlehem Chronicles”.
