The Bake Sale raised $339 for the Men’s fire pit! Thanks for all the bakers and for all the eaters too! I know the men appreciate it.
$179.00 was collected for the Souper Bowl of caring Sunday! Terri Willihnganz took the food collected along with the money to the Waunakee Food Pantry. We had that red wagon quite full. It was a good thing and a big thanks to all!
Order scrip gift cards today after worship from Nancy Koch. Help support the programs at Crossroads by purchasing a gift card for your everyday needs such as groceries, gas, etc. Check out the order form for all participating retailers. The process is easy. Just ask Nancy Koch, Cathy Mielke or Patsy Manion. Orders placed today will be ready for distribution next Sunday.
Today at 3 pm all Crossroads women are invited to go to a movie and then dinner. We will meet at church to car pool. We hope you join us to fellowship and get to know someone you might see all the time! During the meal we will also be talking about “Catching Fireflies,” the new book we are reading. Even if you aren’t reading it you will be able to join in the discussion. The more the merrier! For more information call Heather Murray at 849-4048.
Family Game Night —Friday March 5, 6-8 p.m. Are you a secret Twister champion? Or is Pit, cards, Pictionary or pizza more your thing? Then plan to bring your favorite games and your appetite for a fun evening for all ages!

For those wanting to contribute basic necessities to Haiti— UMCOR is requesting the following NEW items be placed in a sealed one-gallon plastic bag:1 hand towel (15” x 25” up to 17” x 27”. No kitchen towels,1 washcloth,1 comb (large and sturdy, not pocket-sized),1 nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers),1 bath-size bar of soap (3 oz. and up),1 toothbrush (single brushes only in original wrapper, no child-size brushes),6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages, $1.00 to purchase toothpaste.(NOTE: Toothpaste is purchased in bulk to be added to health kits to ensure that the product does not expire before they are sent.) Please do not include anything that is not on the list. It will be removed before it can be sent.
Still Time To Register… Crossroads United Methodist Church and Life Line Screening will be having a community health screening event located in the Narthex on 3/3/2010! Life Line Screening will be offering tests to determine your risk of stroke and heart disease. All four tests are offered at $149. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please call 1-800-324-1851 for your appointment. There are 3 fifty dollars off any package certificates in the office for anyone who wants them.
