What To Expect

SERVICE INFORMATION

All are welcome at Crossroads – all people, all doubts, all questions.  Come as you are and join in a community of people looking for authentic relationships and a meaning and purpose in life that we believe can only be found in Christ.

The information on this page is for you know a bit more about what to expect when you visit Crossroads, so your experience can be a positive one. We hope to see you soon!

Crossroads is part of the global United Methodist Church (read more at umc.org).  Crossroads’ congregation comes from a multitude of backgrounds – i.e. non-denominational, no church background, Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians and those without a church home.  No matter whether you have regularly attended a church for years, have been away from the church, or have never attended a church, you are welcome at Crossroads.

Our worship services are held on Sunday’s at 9:30am and last about an hour. We are mask friendly. You are welcome to wear a face mask or not according to your personal comfort level. We have masks available upon entry, should you want one.

Our typical service is a blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles, using multimedia, relevant and biblically based message series, music from a fantastic choir, familiar hymns and contemporary songs.

We serve communion on the first Sunday of the month.  Methodists believe in an open communion table, which means no matter what you believe, your age or what place you come from, you are welcome at Christ’s table.

Children are always welcome to stay in service with their family.  We have activity bags for children of all ages during service and tables in the back of the sanctuary should you wish to spread out a little. There are changing tables in the women’s bathroom upstairs and in the family bathroom in the lower level in the nursery.

During the school year, we have Sunday School for kids in grades 4K-2nd during worship.  Children go with their teachers early in the worship service and parents can pick them up downstairs after service.

Children ages 0-3 are also welcome to our remodeled nursery.  The nursery is not staffed at this time, but should you wish to spend time down there with your children during service, we have a speaker system so you can listen to the service.   One of our lobby greeters is happy to assist you in finding it.

All are welcome to “come as you are” on Sundays.  On a typical Sunday you will see people wearing jeans and t-shirts, suits and ties and everything in between.  Wear what you are comfortable in and join us “as you are”.

Crossroads is on the east side of Waunakee at the intersection of Hogan Rd. and Arboretum Dr.  Our address is 5901 Hogan Rd., Waunakee 53957. You can easily get to us from Interstate 90/94/39 or State Hwy 113/19.  Please see the map on the right for further directions.

Once you arrive at Crossroads, our parking lot is on the main level of the building.  Handicapped parking is available near the building.  You may drop off at the door where our greeters are available for those who need assistance.
